Financed by Canadian companies and institutions, construction would not begin until 50% of the more than 10,000 units are sold. The condos will all be built at once to ensure the viability of the new businesses in the community.

Economical flights from Canada

Canada Economic Development for Southern Regions has the funding and mandate to make flying to Andos economical for Canadians. Various airport fees and charges on flights to Andros are waived and a target price of $110 per person from Eastern Canada and $150 from Western Canada, one way, has been established.

Flights arriving from Canada are served by the newly upgraded San Andros Airport.

Power, Water and Sewage

The new BPL Biomass power plant has been supplemented by solar farms and Tesla Inc. Power Storage facilities.

Sewage, water purification and distribution facilites have been created suitable for Kokomo Village.

Port facilities to be upgaded

Shipping facilities on Andros

One of the first major development projects will be to upgrade the port facilities. Every few days ships arrive from the Port of Halifax delivering construction supplies, couriered goods and mail and most importantly bulk containers from the operations of our partners Costco Canada and Loblaws who have agreed to open large supermarket type stores on the island. The contract stipulates that the quantity and variety of stocked goods will be in relation to the population for which Canada is to keep careful statistics. Shipping is primarily done by CSL Group Inc. who were willing to negotiate favourable bulk prices. These important contracts were created based on the near mainland price NMP) policy for consumer goods and services on the island. This ensures a stable and favourable cost-of-living for people on the island.
